Excellent relationship between Cuba and France highlighted

Raul Castro’s state visit to France, to be held on February 2-3, shows the excellent status of the bilateral relations between the two countries.

Such visit will comply with an invitation of the French head of state Francois Hollande after his latest trip to Havana in May 2015, commented Cuba’s ambassador before France, Hector Igarza.

In this regard, he highlighted that Cuba ratifies the positive timing in the relationship between the two countries, especially at the economical, commercial, and political level.

Igarza detailed that the island representative will sign important agreements. A new design of a road map for bilateral and commercial work will be presented.

Simultaneously, we are organizing an economical forum in which the new and existing business opportunities in Cuba will be presented to French entrepreneurs.

The ambassador also praised the role of France in the agreement between Cuba and the Paris Club with regard to the arrears of overdue debt, last December.

In statements to PL, Igarza said that cooperation between Cuba and France can help the European nation to enter Latin America, a region that French government has set as a target.
