President Raul Castro Heads Closing of Youth Congress

Cuban president Raul Castro today presides over the closure of the X Congress of the Comunist Youth of Cuba,UJC. More than 600 delegates from that organization gather in Habana since July 16 until today as to analyze the role of the new generations in the context that lives today the island.

In that sense all of those in attendance stated their opinions in relation to productivity in their work places, the motivation of workers and the relation of salaries with the work done.

They also talked about the need for an increase in the ideological preparness of the younger generations as to face the offers of scholarships from other countries which could incentivate the so called brain drain.

They also will use the new information technologies to fight ideological subvertion.

Attending this meeting are also Vicepresident José Ramón Machado Ventura and Commanders of the Revolution, Ramiro Valdés and Guillermo García Frías.
