Wars and other forms of violence mark the world. Situations that cause death, poverty, and forced displacement, and of which we don't even know half.

There are many news reports about the chaos currently raging, such as that between Israel and Iran. In fact, Israel is a common denominator in several conflicts. Since when have they subjugated Palestine and devastated the Gaza Strip? How many detailed reports have we seen and read about this genocide, with no apparent way to end it?

It seems incredible. We also hear about their interference in the West Bank, Lebanon, and Syria. It was only a matter of time before Iran was included on the list. In fact, it all began as a "preemptive" attack because they "knew" their adversary was planning to attack them, and because of that, and their fear of Iran's growing uranium production, it gave them freedom and power to act.

But this is nothing new. The Middle East was already experiencing tension and strain between the two countries because of a long-standing rivalry, whether due to political differences or the ambition to lead the region. It was just a matter of time. Unfortunately, the outcome is never positive.

However, the offensive is not welcomed just because it’s expected. On the contrary. The crossfire becomes a maneuver of power and extermination, testing who has the most resources and strategic capacity to hit or defend themselves. As if it were a children's game where targets are eliminated from the map to continue their advance.

Clearly, a key factor triggered this time is Iran's nuclear program, which worries its counterpart, of course, because they fear the proliferation of atomic weapons and their use against them, and for this reason they have sabotaged its operations on other occasions. However, Iran insists that its development is peaceful, purely scientific.

The front has been open for decades; it’s evident that they cannot overcome their differences. Let’s recall previous direct confrontations with drones and missiles, almost always initiated by Israel and with the subsequent Iranian response. Also in all these years, covert operations have been revealed, another kind of intelligence and technological war that has killed leaders, scientists, and important infrastructure.

How can hostilities be contained? How can it be resolved this time, with a nuclear pact? In the short term, they don't seem to want to handle it diplomatically, especially since it involves more than just that; it encompasses areas such as geopolitics and ideology.

Therefore, the region still has a tough time and fears of further escalation, of allies emerging and the conflict engulfing continents. And on this point, many analysts dramatically warn that conditions as worrisome as these have not arisen since World War II, when political survival, regional domination, and deteriorating order are at their height.
