USAID: Criminal Organization
especiales

The ineffable Elon Musk has just given us some interesting news by classifying the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) as an institution with criminal, illegal purposes. He accused it of being linked to intelligence operations, coups d'état and even the conception and spread of Covid-19.
Marco Rubio, new interim head of USAID
USAID is said to have been a creation of the Democratic Party, although it has obviously been used by both parties since President John F. Kennedy founded it in 1961. Its objectives were clearly to sell a more friendly face of the proverbial imperial arrogance and, in the process, to do everything possible to undermine popular support for governments that were not to Washington's liking, through what they later called soft power.
The Cuban Revolution was a target of USAID since the beginning, so listing all the projects they financed would be very extensive. Some examples, according to publicly available information: from 1996 to 2005 they spent no less than 74 million USD "in the promotion of democratic changes." One example is the ZunZuneo project, intended to facilitate, via text messages, communication between Cuban citizens, as promised, which operated between 2009 and 2012, when it was discarded as useless.
Other sadly evocative projects refer to those implemented since 2014 to influence the Cuban hip hop music movement, which reveals that the cultural sector was and continues to be the target of this type of attack. As an example of the perversity of these policies, there are also those conceived to influence projects to help HIV patients, really a cover to identify possible local leaders who are sympathetic.
It's known that this is an old task of the American special services, which have always come up against the so-called visa syndrome, according to which permission is obtained to emigrate to the US, a true and not always admitted purpose. The aforementioned syndrome has now been recycled under the concept of so-called credible fear, a step to obtain asylum, no matter if the individual needs it, it’s enough to create an “opposition” story on digital social networks.
To this day, the so-called counterrevolutionary cluster, a conglomerate of media and digital platforms that generate fanciful content, which exaggerate the description of the problems Cuba tackles with, naturally ignoring the main culprit, the blockade, operates with monetary support from USAID and the NED, which would be well worth a separate analysis.
USAID's exploits in the rest of the world are also well known, some widely denounced. The scandal that right now surrounds the Narnia government, sorry, the offspring of the Venezuelan ultra-right abroad, is unspeakable; also in time, we remember the support for more cruel plans such as Operation Condor, or the euphemistically called color revolutions in Europe and the Middle East, which left an impressive number of human victims and truths that cry out to be clarified at some point.
It could be said that Musk discovered lukewarm water, but behind this comment there are other projects, updated to the current times and the immediate future, and which represent an alternative to the practices of the now extinct USAID. No one should expect that the empire will give up its traditional plans, in an endless race to contain the inevitable loss of its once undisputed hegemony.
It’s appropriate to mention, for example, the so-called Palantir Foundation for Defense Policy and International Affairs, which has existed at least since 2004 and is associated with the US intelligence services and the Pentagon. Palantir works on the development of AI for the digital collection of data from third countries, with the purpose of replacing CIA agents, or the action of NGOs in the physical field, based on the extraordinary influence that platforms have on digital social networks, based in the US such as X itself, with segmented audiences, especially vulnerable ones such as the youngest.
It’s easy to imagine the subversive power of this type of project, cheaper and obviously more comprehensive than the outdated USAID; Musk's participation gives it a nuance, because it seems that the man is preparing to fatten his pockets with public funds, promoting projects such as the one mentioned, where it’s known that he has an important participation.
What is Musk saying for real? Welcome to a much more hostile and opaque world in the modalities of attack, for anyone who tries to challenge imperialism. In any case, the criminal organization of USAID already has someone to do the job for them.
It’s urgent to raise an alert about this reality. Resistance is essential to keep and strengthen patriotic, revolutionary values in digital social networks, as has been said; hence the request of the First Secretary of the Communist Party, comrade Díaz-Canel, when he called for a new Vindication of Cuba in that space, where the “new” USAID will have to be opposed.
