An analysis of the statistical data related to the current U.S. President reveals that the magnate, now serving his second term, faces negative results that speak loud about his administration.

We could begin with one of his most controversial measures, the "war on drugs in the Caribbean," a lie that, despite being repeated ad nauseam, has failed to deceive world public opinion, or even that of the American people.

At this moment, when the escalation against Venezuela leads us to believe that a US intervention in that territory could be imminent, it´s normal for several polling firms to ask Americans their opinion on the matter. Nearly 90% of Trump's compatriots believe that the South American nation poses no threat to the United States, despite Secretary of State Marco Rubio and various U.S. media outlets' daily insistence on the threat Venezuela presents to the world's largest empire.

But this isn't the only statistic illustrating the current administration's disproportionate budgetary expenditures. Independent studies—since the Pentagon is quite cautious with this data—indicate that maintaining the USS Gerald R. Ford aircraft carrier, the one that threatens the security of the entire region, costs the United States an average of $6 million per day, taking into account personnel salaries, ship and aircraft fuel. It´s believed that each time a plane takes off from the Gerald R. Ford, between $40,000 and $50,000 is spent.

And that's just for the aircraft carrier. It's worth remembering that the United States has deployed between eight and twelve naval vessels off the coast of Venezuela, according to The New York Times. So draw your own conclusions about the daily cost of this operation. This doesn't even include expenses for ground bases and space leases in the Dominican Republic, a country that has acquiesced to this dangerous imperial maneuver.

It's a lot of money, no doubt. Perhaps, just perhaps, with a little political will, it could have been used to help the approximately 35.9 million Americans who were living below the poverty line in 2024; of these, 14.3% are children, according to the U.S. Congress.

And as if this weren't already alarming in a country that considers itself a paradigm for the world and believes it has the right to impose its ideas, even at the cost of force and exorbitant expenses, despite Trump's campaign promises and White House reports to the contrary, Americans feel that inflation has skyrocketed in recent months. Perhaps it's related to the "super trade war," but the fact is that this has caused Trump's disapproval rating to exceed 60%, according to a USA Today poll.

Other factors influencing this drastic drop are policies related to national security, labor and the economy, taxes, and immigration, according to The Economist.

In short, Trump's promised prosperity isn't for everyone, but rather for a small segment of the population that has significantly increased their fortunes. Therefore, it's not alarming that, amidst this adverse context, the current administration has imposed new requirements for people who may be eligible for programs that help cover healthcare bills, such as the popularly known Obamacare.

Billions of dollars for health research have also been paused. This is reflected in news reports such as the one published earlier this year on CNN, which reported that state and local public health departments were preparing for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to withdraw some $11.4 billion in grants. Or the report broadcast by NBC in April, which announced fierce legal battles following the Trump administration's decision to cancel a wave of research grants at major private institutions like Johns Hopkins and Princeton University.

And this is only in terms of domestic policy. Similar measures related to the United States' commitments to global organizations cannot be ignored.

One could also mention the crisis caused by the longest government shutdown in the nation's history, with serious consequences for workers and policy implementation, or the constant protests in major cities that demonstrate citizens' discontent with the policies of "the king," as they derisively call Trump.

But clearly, this is not enough, or it´s not a priority, and Trump prefers to spend millions on weapons, forces, and threats. He is willing to bathe in blood to fight for a hegemony he is losing from the inside.
