Netanyahu, with Conceived Sin

Knowing that he is protected and defends the interests of the West, the Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, has expanded his military action to Lebanon and, after carrying out a criminal technological attack in the south of the country, causing more than 4,000 casualties among Hezbollah guerrilla fighters and civilians, he unleashed what he mockingly called a surgical operation in Beirut, the capital, where in the southern suburb alone he killed more than 500 people in less than a day and wounded some 2,500, including many women and children.

The aggression against Lebanon continues while thousands of people flee from the south, where Hezbollah not only does not surrender, but launches attacks against airports, military bases and illegal settlements.

The genocide of the inhabitants of the almost completely destroyed Gaza has not stopped, where the number of causualties reaches already nearly 42,000, an action that has spread to the West Bank, with a total mockery of the United Nations, trampling on the right of the Palestinian people to have their own State, showing the ineffectiveness of a virtually obsolete organization.

Besides the 40,000 soldiers, aircraft carriers, other ships and waraircrafts deployed in the area to support the Zionist partner, the United States has just added more troops and other war resources and warns Americans to leave Lebanon as the risk of a regional war increases.

“Due to the unpredictable nature of the ongoing conflict between Hezbollah and Israel and the recent explosions throughout Lebanon, including Beirut, the US Embassy urges American citizens to leave Lebanon while commercial options remain available,” warned the US State Department on Saturday.

Netanyahu, after the Israeli bombings against Lebanon, which are still ongoing, admitted that he had anticipated the attacks in order to eliminate “the high officials and the terrorists, we eliminated the missiles,” but did not explain why had bombed civilian structures in the capital.

Although the total number of displaced people is still unknown, the Lebanese government activated a national emergency plan on Monday to assist the considerable number of people who are being displaced. In addition, authorities are also coordinating the opening of schools and other centers to accommodate them in Mount Lebanon and in the southern cities of Sidon and Tyre.

Curiously, the Western press, although it agrees on the danger of a total war, in one way or another praises the effectiveness of Zionist war actions and ignores the extermination of Palestinians in the territories occupied by Israel.

DELIBERATE CRIMES

In both the Gaza Strip and Lebanon, the Israeli army deliberately denies civilians enough time to escape from areas to be bombed, offering them no protection.

The Israeli Prime Minister has responded to the attack on October 7, but has not responded to the dangers of military operations. Instead, Israel has randomly and directly attacked civilian buildings, including the surrounding hospitals and schools.

The Israeli Prime Minister has thus made his war strategy in the West Bank and Lebanon even more cruel, after having devastated the Gaza Strip.

This was the response to the attack on October 7. Since then, the Israeli Prime Minister has followed a path that is alien to the sense of proportionality and the most basic humanity towards the civilian population of Gaza. The Likud leader has seen in the war not only a lifeline in the face of his complicated internal political situation, but also a strategy to consolidate the expansionism censured by the UN, whose Assembly approved on Wednesday by a large majority (124 votes in favor, 12 against and 43 abstentions) a resolution calling for an end to the illegal occupation of the Palestinian territories.

The unjustifiable decision to raze Gaza – with more than 41,000 people killed so far, more than a million refugees and tens of thousands of homes completely destroyed – has been joined by brutality in the West Bank, with the death of dozens of civilians, the carte blanche enjoyed by the ultra-settlers to exercise violence and the multiple scenes of hatred, such as the desecration this Monday of three corpses thrown from a rooftop by Israeli soldiers.

Almost a year after putting the military focus of destruction on the Strip, Netanyahu now seems willing to keep the fire of war burning in Lebanon. As if his political future inside Israel – already highly questioned before October 7 – depended on perpetuating the external conflict to ensure the acquiescence of his fellow citizens in the name of a security that he does not cease to endanger again and again.

All this while he ignores the ceasefire requests of the relatives of the Hamas hostages, disqualifies the resolutions of the United Nations, disregards the international judicial proceedings opened against him for very serious crimes and labels as a collaborator with terrorism any country or organization that does not uncritically accept his story.

In this regard, the unreliable Spanish newspaper El País says that Netanyahu has ignored his main ally, the United States, to accept a peace plan for Gaza and to give up the option of unlimited war; but, far from that, and undoubtedly with the acquiescence of Washington, he has unleashed a war in Lebanon, with his main obsession, Iran, in the background.
