Italy led at the start of the first set as Vettori scored well, but Brazil made a great run to win with more players scoring on all angles. Lanza helped Vettori run the Italian offence, while the others performed a good service and blocking game to secure the next two sets. Wallace and Lucarelli stepped up on offence to force the tie-breaker, but Vettori’s spike and attack gave the Italians the momentum in the fifth set to complete the match victory.
