Mock Attack in View of European Championship to be Staged in France

This mock attack is seeking to review the behavior of intervention forces, as aid, health and services in charge of investigations, said a statement issued by the ministries of Interior and Health.

The exercise will be held at the plaza Quinconces, where supporters gathered there could total up to 62,000 people during the championship.

Minister of Interior Bernard Cazeneuve and Health Marisol Touraine will participate in the mock attack.

In early March, France strengthened security measures in view of the competition, as the Government confirmed that the high terrorist threat prevails.

Jacques Lambert, president of the organizing committee, said that those responsible for security, one of the main concerns, did all they could to have optimum conditions.
