Puerto Rico and Argentina have joined two-time defending champions United States and Dominican Republic in the semifinals of the XIII Women’s Volleyball Pan American Cup, following victories over Canada and Cuba, respectively, on Tuesday at Juan de la Barrera Gymnasium in Mexico City.

In the final-four round, Argentina play Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico meet United States. The Puerto Rican team defeated Canada in consecutive sets (25-17, 25-16, 30-28) while Argentina overcame Cuba 3-1 (25-23, 23-25, 25-20, 25-19).

In the matches for 7-10 places in Pachuca, Colombia beat Peru 3-0 (25-21, 25-23, 25-20) and Mexico crushed Costa Rica 3-0 (25-10, 25-22, 25-17). The winners will play for seventh place and the losers will decide the ninth position.
