Cuban swimmer Hanser García won the silver medal in the 100m freestyle at the well reputed competition Mare Nostrum, Barcelona.

García, Olympic finalist in London 2012, completed the distance in 49,05. Olympic champion Nathan Adrian (48,08s) won the race.

Last weekend, García also ended runner up behind Adrian at France.
