Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro on Monday signed the 2016 cooperation plan between his country and Cuba, which prioritizes 10 major social areas in the benefit of the Venezuelan people.
Priority sectors include health, sports, culture, food, pharmaceuticals and urban agriculture. The cooperation plan is based on an investment calculated at 1.4 billion dollars plus another 6.9 billion Bolivares, Venezuela´s national currency.
The program for the health sector includes the supply of pharmaceuticals based on Cuba´s productive capacities, scientific and technological expertise plus Venezuela´s pharmaceutical production as considered in the Venezuelan economic strategy.
