First Stage of Modernization in Cuban Television Concluded

Cuban television has completed the first stage of installing two modern master control systems for the broadcast of the Multivisión and Cuban News Channel (Canal Cubano de Noticias) networks, in commemoration of the 67th anniversary of the triumph of the Revolution, as confirmed by the Cuban TV profile on Facebook.

Alfonso Noya Martínez, President of the Institute of Social Information and Communication (ICS), verified the commissioning of the equipment this Thursday alongside ICS directors, officials from the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) Committee, and the Union Bureau, during an exchange with specialists from national television.

Cuban technicians, assisted by a group of Chinese specialists, explained the installation and adjustment processes of the systems, which are the result of a donation from the People's Republic of China.

The technological modernization will improve broadcast quality and constitutes an initial step within a broader program to update the country's television infrastructure.

According to ICS directors, upcoming phases will include the incorporation of new digital technologies and the training of technical personnel to ensure the project's sustainability.
