Cuba loses to Japan in Volleyball Nations League

The Cuban men’s team lost today in three straight sets against Japan, in the second week of the Volleyball Nations League, in a match corresponding to pool 4 that will take place in Orleans, France.

According to the International Federation website www.fivb.com, the undefeated Japanese won with partial scores of 25-21, 25-16 and 25-21, in a match in which the Cubans delivered 30 points due to their own errors.

The official statistics of the challenge reflect better results of the Japanese in attack, 42 ​​goals to 31, and the errors that give points to the rivals (17-30), while the disciples of Nicolás Vives were more effective in blocking (8 -3) and the service (3-0).

The top scorer of the match was Ran Takahashi, who accumulated 14 points, 13 in attack and one in blocking, followed by Cubans Miguel Ángel López (10/8-1-1) and Marlón Yant (10/6-3- 1), the only three players with double digits.
