Havana, December 30 (RHC)-- Cuba confirmed Thursday 328 cases of Covid-19 and one death, bringing to 975,571 the number of cases and 8,322 the number of deaths since the beginning of the pandemic in March 2020.
The Ministry of Public Health informed on its website that, at the close of the 29th, there were 1,016 active in health institutions.
Pinar del Río and Havana (west) reported the highest number of cases in the last 24 hours with 69 and 60, respectively, followed by Camagüey (center), which confirmed 54 infections.
On the other hand, the source explained that for 13 consecutive weeks, the Caribbean island maintained a decrease in the number of new patients positive for the disease.
This reality had a turning point at the end of the last week when the number of diagnoses increased by 34.8 percent (163 more patients than in the previous seven days).
