Armenia, Azerbaijan exchange accusations of truce violation
Moscow, Dec 13 (Prensa Latina) In his visit to this capital the Armenian Minister of Defense, Vagarshak Arutiunian, accused today Azerbaijan of violating the truce agreed for the conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh, while Baku issued similar denunciations against Armenia.
Arutiunian discussed with his Russian colleague, Sergei Shoigu, what he described as a violation of the ceasefire regime agreed in the joint declaration of Armenia, Azerbaijan and Russia last November 9, by which a peace contingent was deployed in the Nagorno-Karabakh region.
The Armenian Defense Minister referred to an incident that occurred on Saturday in the region of Gadrut, in the south of the aforementioned moutains.
According to the Armenian Defense Ministry, the Azerbaijani troops managed to enter the village of Jin Tager and approached the town of Jtsaberd. In that event six Armenians were injured, said the source.
The Ministry noted that Russian, Azerbaijani and Armenian military are conducting negotiations for all parties to return to their previous positions. From Baku, the Defense Ministry said, that northwest of Gadrut, in a forested area, Armenian armed groups were hiding, who are accused of organizing attacks against Azeri military and civilians.
The aforementioned Azerbaijani body affirmed that four of its soldiers were killed while one aseri civilian was injured.
Therefore, the Azerbaijani forces were forced to carry out an anti-terrorist operation.
