The Iranian government accused the Western powerful countries, led by the United States, of supporting terrorism and interfering in the internal affairs of the countries of the Middle East.
'Instability, extremism, discontent, the growth of terrorism and other problems in the region are the result of the wrong foreign policy' of Washington, said the spokesman of the Iranian chancellery, Bahram Qassemi.
The Iranian official responded to the comments on Twitter by US Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo, who yesterday denounced Tehran's alleged support for the Ansarullah movement in Yemen.
That group faces the forces of President Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi, who is backed by a Muslim coalition, led by Saudi Arabia.
In this regard, the Iranian spokesman denounced the death of civilians in that country of the Arabian Peninsula as a result of the bombing of the alliance, backed by the United States.
Qassemi also criticized the White House for its iranophobia and in that sense questioned the sale of Pentagon weapons to several Middle Eastern nations in its campaign against Tehran.
