Cuba's Sancti Spiritus province repairs tourist facilities
Sancti Spiritus, Cuba, Oct 28 (Prensa Latina) The interruption caused by Covid-19 in tourism allowed carrying out a repair and maintenance program at the hotel and non-hotel plant in Sancti Spiritus, central province of the country, sector executives assured on Wednesday.
Some 280 rooms were refurbished in hotels, including the Village Costasur, Memories Trinidad del Mar, Ancon, Villa Ma. Dolores and Las Cuevas, located in Trinidad, and the Zaza, in this provincial capital.
Reinier Rendon, delegate of the Ministry of Tourism in Sancti Spiritus, explained to the press that those actions also extend to all areas of service provision.
The delegate mentioned the gastronomic, recreational and technological services, pointing out those responsible actions taken in the implementation of health protocols to guarantee customers' and workers' safety.
The Trinidad-Sancti Spiritus pole is thus preparing to face the reopening of tourist activity with higher levels of comfort and quality. The proximity of the hotels to the historic urban center of Trinidad, declared by UNESCO in 1988 Cultural Heritage of Humanity, makes this destination one of the most attractive in Cuba, where cultural values and sun and beach converge.
