The health sector is one of the priority areas of cooperation between Angola and Cuba, announced on Tuesday in Luanda, the Angolan Health minister, José Van-Dunem.

The minister said so at the opening ceremony of the photo exhibition on the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Angola and Cuba, which is being displayed at Anibal de Melo Press Centre in October.

According to him, after the fulfillment of United Nations Resolution 435, which forced the withdrawal of Cuban citizens in Angola, the health sector continued to count on the collaboration of experts from the Caribbean island.

He said that thanks to the increased cooperation in the health field, where Cuba assists the staff training, Angola has experts in several areas.

The minister stressed that the Cuban specialists have helped Angola in the opening of technical schools in the country.

Bento Sebastião Bento said that Cuba has always been next to Angola in the most difficult moments.

"Today we have the collaboration of Cuba in the economic, health, education sectors, among others, where the Cubans are good specialists", he said.
