Camagüey, Cuba, May 17 (Prensa Latina) The use of digital platforms is the main way to promote the attractions of this central-eastern Cuban province, which boosts the development of tourism in its territory.

Despite the Covid-19 effects, Camagüey, which holds nearly 20 percent of Cuba's beaches, is strengthening deals with travel agencies and tour operators, especially from Russia, one of the strong markets focused on the Caribbean region.

The official website of the Cubanacan Hotel Group advertises the establishments in Santa Lucia beach, in the north of the province, the one with the largest housing and hotel capacity in the territory, which has a diving center and a wide range of options for the enjoyment of nature.

Camagüey, which also has cultural attractions in the Historic Center of the provincial capital, was declared a World Heritage Site by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).

According to the website of Cadena Agramonte, 'the presentations were aimed at the tour operator Havanatur S.A., and tourism advisors in Russia, France, Italy, United Kingdom, Germany, Argentina and Mexico.'

Located 540 kilometers east of Havana, Camagüey has become in the last five years one of Russia's major tourist-sending countries focusing on the reception of foreign tourists, and the use of websites is the most effective way to exploit the sector, a strategy of Cuba's Ministry of Tourism.
