Caracas, Dec 24 (Prensa Latina) Venezuelan Vice President Delcy Rodriguez on Thursday repudiated a discriminatory statement by Colombian President Ivan Duque on the refusal to vaccinate Venezuelan migrants under an irregular situation against Covid-19.

At a press conference, the vice president informed about a meeting with officials from the office of United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights Michelle Bachelet.

Accompanied by Foreign Minister Jorge Arreaza, Rodriguez described as barbaric and depraved the discriminatory action by the Colombian head of State, which was denounced before the office of the UN high official because it violates the human rights of Venezuelan citizens living in that neighboring country.

She also recalled that nearly six million Colombians live in Venezuela, where they have never been denied access to quick or molecular tests for the diagnose of the disease caused by the new coronavirus, or free health care in the public health system.

Ivan Duque's xenophobic statement came after a recent meeting with the opposition leader and fugitive from justice, Leopoldo Lopez, to devise new destabilizing plans against Venezuela, the vice president denounced.
