Venezuela to continue strengthening cooperation with the Caribbean

Caracas, Sep 21 (Prensa Latina) Venezuela on Wednesday assured it will continue strengthening cooperation, integration and sustainable development with the Caribbean nations, as reaffirmed by Rander Peña, Vice President for Latin America of the Ministry of People's Power for Foreign Affairs, at the 11th Extraordinary Meeting of the Council of Ministers of the Association of Caribbean States (ACS).

Venezuelan Foreign Ministry informed the ACS Council passed Peña as candidate for Director of Cooperation and Resource Mobilization.

Likewise, the 2022-2023 objectives were announced and decisions were made on format and venue for holding forthcoming ACS meetings.

The ACS decided to announce Cuba and Trinidad and Tobago as venues for next in-person ACS meetings, according to the source.
