Venezuela condemns US aggression against Syria

Caracas, Feb 26 (Prensa Latina) The Venezuelan government on Friday condemned the recent US air attack against Syria.

On his Twitter account, Foreign Minister Jorge Arreaza expressed Venezuela's position regarding the US aggression carried out on Friday morning against that Arab country.

'Venezuela strongly condemns the US military attack on Syrian territory and expresses its firm solidarity with the people and government of that sisterly country. It is regrettable that Washington returns to endless war and moves away from diplomacy and international law,' Arreaza tweeted.

The aerial bombardment left at least twenty deaths, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (OSDH).

This is the first military operation of President Joe Biden's administration, which justifies the attack in response to recent aggressions in Iraq against representatives of the United States and its allies.

The Syrian government condemned the attack on the Iraqi border and warned that it 'will have consequences that will aggravate the situation in the region.'
