Caracas, Oct 27 (Prensa Latina) Venezuela's media must guarantee equal opportunities to the different political options during the electoral campaign, the National Electoral Council (CNE) stated on Wednesday.

During a meeting with directors of television and radio stations, and printed publications, CNE president Pedro Calzadilla stressed the importance of sending voters the plurality of electoral offers, prior to the November 21 regional and municipal elections.

The highest representative of the electoral power proposed to give daily coverage to the campaign acts of at least four of the political parties or alliances involved in these elections.

The electoral campaign will begin on October 28 and will end on November 18, it is also subject to the administrative dispositions for the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic in those acts or activities which imply public meetings or demonstrations.

Venezuelans will go to the polls to elect the country's 23 governors and 335 mayors, in addition to the members of the regional legislative assemblies and municipal councils.
