Paris, Jan 18 (Prensa Latina) Didier Philippe, president of the France Cuba solidarity association, condemned on Monday the US government's decision to include the Caribbean nation in its unilateral list of countries that sponsor terrorism, and demanded its removal.

In statements to Prensa Latina, Philippe denounced the aggressive policy by President Donald Trump towards Cuba, after four years characterized by the tightening of the economic, commercial and financial blockade in force during the last six decades.

Trump is enraged due to his November electoral defeat, and he is not only capable of sending a mob against the temple of democracy across the world, US Congress, but he attacks Cuba with this accusation of sponsoring terrorism, in a psychopathic behavior, the head of the France Cuba association warned.

Regarding the anti-Cuban crusade of the administration that will leave the White House on January 20, Philippe expressed expectation that incoming President Joe Biden will resume the Washington-Havana rapprochement started by Barack Obama in 2015 and 2016, a period in which Biden was a vice president.

We know that Biden indicated that interest, but not when this policy change could occur, although if he decides to take that step, he would have a favorable scenario and the Democrats will control the two houses of Congress, the Senate and the House of Representatives, he told Prensa Latina.

French associations and unions called their followers to meet on Sunday in the nearby area of the Eiffel Tower to express their support for Cuba in its fight to respect the right to sovereignty and development without aggression or interference.
