Washington, September 26 (RHC)-- U.S. President Donald Trump has claimed once more that it was impossible for him to lose in the 2020 U.S. presidential election, adding that he would be "stupid" to hand over the office peacefully should he lose.

Talking to his supporters gathered at Williamsburg International Airport in Virginia during a Friday night campaign rally, Trump raised suspicions once more about cheating in the election.  "We're not gonna lose this, except if they cheat," Trump said.

"That's the only way we're gonna lose is if there's, uh, mischief," he said, further noting: "And it will have to be on a big scale."

Vox cites growing concern among experts Trump is set to commit election fraud to remain at the helm for a second term.

Trump predicted that there would be cheating and he would remain in power.  "And we do want a very friendly transition, but we don't want to be cheated and be stupid and say, 'Oh, let's transit -- we'll go and we'll do a transition' and we know that there were thousands and thousands of ballots that made the difference through cheating," he reiterated.

Earlier this week, the president had refused to commit to a peaceful transition of power if he were to lose to his Democratic rival, Joe Biden.
