Paris, November 29 (RHC)-- The channel "Europe for Cuba" dedicated its broadcast Sunday on social networks to pay tribute to the revolutionary leader Fidel Castro and to highlight his legacy of emancipation from culture, resistance and solidarity.

Those invited to participate in the new edition of the activated platform, from different parts of Europe, paid tribute to the statesman on the fourth anniversary of his physical disappearance.

Irene del Río, president of the Francisco Villamil Galician-Cuban Friendship Association, remembered Fidel Castro's visit to that territory in 1992.  Her testimony was accompanied by a video with messages of affection from some of his fellow countrymen.

For his part, the Mayor of Oleiros, Ángel García, defined the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution as a man who defended the poor and oppressed, with whom the great powers that persecuted him and tried to kill him hundreds of times could not.

Four years ago, el Comandante and compañero Fidel passed away, but he is still alive in all those who fight for the ideals he defended, he said on the channel, moderated by José Antonio Toledo.

From France, the Coordinator of Cuban Residents described Fidel Castro as an invincible warrior of time and a faithful standard-bearer of Marti's ethics.

The transmission also included fragments of speeches by Fidel Castro, images of passages of his life and materials with the homage of painters of the island and about the children of Chernobyl cared for in Cuba after the nuclear accident in that Ukrainian city.
