Syria rejects EU meddling in its internal affairs

Damascus, Jan 27 (Prensa Latina) The Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Thursday expressed its energetic rejection to the recent statement by the Council of the European Union (EU) about the situation in this Arab nation and considered it a flagrant intrusion in its internal affairs.

Damascus deplores the positions and lies included in the EU communique and reaffirms that it will not allow that this institution or others interfere in its affairs and keep it from consolidating stability, a Foreign Ministry statement affirmed. The Ministry considered that this position is completely disconnected from reality and lacks the slightest degree of independence.

The document noted that the conflict does not end due to Western interventions in Syrian affairs, in addition to the EU’s illegal and unilateral coercive measures and desperate attempts to save its failed aggressive policy against Damascus.

Syria defeated the terrorist groups and their supporters from Colonial Western forces and it does not care about the EU positions and statements that are not worth the ink with which they were written on, the Foreign Ministry concluded.
