Russian president passes social gasification law
The law establishes that by 2023, gas must reach sites whose distance from the existing gas pipeline is no more than 200 meters, with a supply of up to seven cubic meters per hour, which should be enough for a 300-square-meter house.
The rest of the houses without these characteristics will be fully gasified through the construction of new regional gas pipelines.
According to the plan, the level of gasification in the country should be 82.9 percent by 2030, the highest possible volume taking into consideration the existing technical conditions, the document noted.
Gazprom Mezhregiongaz CEO Sergey Gustov said on Friday that work was done in May to determine the number and dimensions of the required facilities in different regions, as well as costs.
For the 2021-2025 period, state-controlled Gazprom's new gas supply program will benefit 67 Russian regions.
