Havana, March 7(RHC)-- Roniel Iglesias fulfilled the mission of remaining undefeated and raising to 19 the wins of Domadores de Cuba in professional boxing.
The double Olympic champion overcame the experience and the host condition of Eleazar Valenzuela to win by technical knockout in the third of the eight rounds available for the welterweight division fight.
In the Mexican city of Tijuana, the 2009 world champion signed his third victory in the same number of such presentations and updated his opponent's balance in 25 wins, as many losses and six draws.
"The referee ended the fight in the third round due to the strong siege of the Cuban over the Mexican", described ESPN.
Images broadcast from the venue show the traces of that punishment on the right superciliary arch of the latter, while he was being attended to in his corner.
The Cuban franchise now has a 19-1 (14 KO) record since it debuted in those circuits in May last year, as a result of the coordinated work between the local federation and the Golden Ring company.
