Raul is Fidel's best disciple, says Diaz-Canel

Havana, June 2 (RHC)—The leader of the Cuban Communist Party, Miguel Diaz Canel, congratulated Army General Raul Castro Ruz on the occasion of his 90^th birthday.

A Tweet from the Political organization quoted the message from Diaz-Canel.

“Raúl, as our people affectionately call him, is Fidel's best disciple, but he has also contributed innumerable values to revolutionary ethics, to partisan work, and to improve the government. Congratulations Raul.  Cuba hugs you and thanks to you,” said the message.

The tweet came one day before the celebration.Raúl Modesto Castro Ruz was born in Birán, in the former Oriente province in Eastern Cuba, on June 3, 1931.
