Havana, Aug 18 (Prensa Latina) The Nicolás Guillén Foundation is preparing the exhibition of posters Digo que yo no soy un hombre puro, by Cuban creator Eviel Ramos, which will pay tribute to Cuba's National Poet on the 120th anniversary of his birth.

Hosted at the Villena Hall of the Union of Writers and Artists, the exhibition commemorates its founder par excellence and author of an extensive work linked to the nationality as well as the processes of miscegenation and transculturation, which he called the Cuban color.

The exhibition, supported by the Nicolás Guillén Foundation, the Ministry of Culture and the Higher Institute of Design, focuses on Guillén’s legacy, whose ability to narrate through verses places him among the most transcendent and necessary exponents of Cuban lyrics.

The author of Songoro Cosongo still inspires the young generations who will remember him with the initiative scheduled for August 22 and based on his thought, the values of equity, social justice and genuine prose expressed from the national and Caribbean perspective.

Likewise, the exhibition is part of the broad program of actions designed throughout the year to commemorate the poet’s birth and will cover all the branches of the Foundation that bears his name.
