Bogota, May 16 (Prensa Latina) The Ibero-American Pictorial Exhibition, as a cultural part of the 5th Symposium on Jose Marti coordinated by Cuban academic residing in Colombia Josue Otto de Quesada, will be inaugurated at Universidad Libre in Bogota on Monday.

A total of 55 works by painters from Colombia, Chile, Peru, Ecuador, Cuba, among others, are exhibited at the Benjamin Herrera hall, in the headquarters of this higher education center located in La Candelaria.

Paintings by Alba Bautista (Colombia), Jose Antonio Peralta (Peru), Eric Poignant (France) and many other artists, are available to the public, especially students, professors and workers of Universidad Libre during the days dedicated to Jose Marti, Apostle of the Independence of Cuba.

The 5th International Symposium “Jose Marti: Unity and Intellectual Autonomy in Latin America” will be inaugurated on Thursday, May 19, on the occasion of the 127th anniversary of the fall in combat of Cuba’s National Hero. This event is co-sponsored by the Suba International Biennial, the Cuban Embassy in Colombia, the Philharmonic Orchestra of Bogota and the Organization of Ibero-American States.
