Nora, a Cuban Woman Who Made History in Life and Cinema
especiales

The film, directed by Roly Peña, is named after the woman who inspired it and, as announced on Facebook by the President of the Cuban Institute of Cinematographic Art and Industry (ICAIC), will be shown at the Cine Yara in Havana on December 3.
This is a special presentation, and, the ICAIC director pointed out, it will take place just hours before the film participates in the 46th Havana Film Festival as part of the "Latin America in Perspective" selection.
The film, according to a note published by Razones de Cuba, "tells the story of a Cuban secret agent who, under a false identity, had managed to penetrate the innermost circles of violent organizations responsible for planning and executing..." acts of terror against Cuba for decades. The plot unfolds when, after the discovery of the "Wasp" network, the protagonist must return to the island before her cover is exposed and her life endangered.
Young Cuban actress Ingrid Lobina, known for her roles in the series Calendario and the soap opera El derecho de soñar (The Right to Dream), plays the character of Nora, accompanied by a cast of renowned Cuban actors, including Aramís Delgado, Héctor Noas, Carlos Luis González, Patricio Wood, Yuny Bolaños, and Clarita García.
With a screenplay by Amilcar Salatti, the film recreates the atmosphere of the 1990s and features locations such as the city of Matanzas, the tourist resort of Varadero, and the Zapata Swamp.
The invitation for this Wednesday, December 3rd, at the Yara Cinema is to enjoy an excellent film and, at the same time, a historical testament to the passion with which so many Cuban men and women have risked their lives to keep the island safe from terrorism organized and carried out from the United States.
