MiTurno, New Transfermóvil Option

A new version of the APK Transfermóvil is now online, the leading e-commerce platform in Cuba, which already has more than 5.3 million users and has carried out more than 1.2 billion operations so far in 2024, which represents a 30% growth compared to the same period last year.
The head of support and development of the digital products division, MSc. Julio Antonio García Trápaga, explained to CubaSí that the new version of Transfermóvil is 1.24.11.24, and as new features it makes the following services available to its users:
-Using MiTurno, the commercial procedures associated with the Fuel Trading Company (ENCC) will be organized, especially in relation to liquefied gas.
-The new alternative of full payment of the entire debt is also introduced in the case of manufactured gas.
What procedures will be facilitated regarding liquefied gas?
In the case of commercial procedures with the Fuel Trading Company, especially in relation to liquefied gas, also known as balita, in this first stage they do not include the purchase of the balita de gas, but rather cover those circumstances that modify the status of the contract, whether it’s settlement due to death, transfer of contract or transfer to another location, among other of the many procedures that are carried out in commercial organizations.
To carry out these procedures, each Transfermóvil user will only be able to reserve tickets for two people. That is, they will only be able to request one ticket for those with an ID card, and each ID card can only be once in the line organized by this service.
The ID card that must be entered is that of the owner of the contract or the person authorized to carry out the procedure with the Fuel Trading Company. Each card can only reserve one ticket at a time until the client buys the product. This is a rule similar to the one that already exists for this MiTurno service platform.
The price of the service for the ticket will be worth 10 CUP.
Now, in parallel but operating independently, through MiTurno, each client can request up to four tickets for the currency purchase service at Cadeca, and from this update they will also be able to request two more tickets, this time associated with the commercial procedures for liquefied gas, stated above.
Each user may set, if they wish, a date from which they propose the ticket be assigned to them.
At the time of the ticket assignment, also 24 hours before and just on the same day, the client will receive a notification via SMS.
The client will be able to follow the status of the line. This follow-up includes two modalities: integrated follow-up, and follow-up by identity card.
By making an integrated follow-up, all tickets requests acquired by that user will be known, understanding that user is equal to the telephone number registered in Transfermóvil. While the follow-up by identity card offers more specific information about the status of all the tickets associated with an identity card.
There are two important pieces of information that are provided at all times in this MiTurno service: the position in the line and the ticket number. The position in the line indicates the number where the line is going, and this number is the one that changes, while the ticket number is the number that the user has in the line, acquired at the time of the request, and is fixed, it does not vary.
García Trápaga says that this service will begin in the province of Holguín and will be extended to the rest of the provinces. It will be available from Transfermóvil using the options of Banco Metropolitano, Banco de Crédito y Comercio, Banco Popular de Ahorro, and Mitransfer Mobile Wallet.
This new option is the result of a joint effort with the Empresa Comercializadora de Gas Licuado, which has among its merits being one of the first companies to use the QR code as a means of payment in Transfermóvil.
Manufactured gas: Full payment with one click
Based on the principle of improving the services already implemented - a basic pillar of Transfermóvil's work - the possibility of paying all the accumulated debt from different months with respect to the manufactured gas service with a single click is also included.
Known as "street gas", it covers a good part of the province of Havana, and in this case the user will be able to choose the option that has been called full payment.
In addition to the monthly payment, which is the one that exists today, the user, with this new possibility, will be able to choose to pay the debt he has, not from month to month, but to settle it all at once with a single click.
The Head of support and development of the digital products division of ETECSA, explained that this is the second update so far this year, “but it will not be the last, because we are working on new services for our people that facilitate digital transformation in the face of electronic commerce.
We will continue to lead this process to advance as a country and society. We have a highway of opportunities to achieve results, we just have to populate it with services and facilities that contribute to development. That’s our mission and our responsibility,” García Trápaga said.
