La Paz, Sep 11 (Prensa Latina) Bolivia's presidential candidate of the Movement Towards Socialism (MAS), Luis Arce, reiterated on Friday that the political organization will work to restore economic, social and political stability to Bolivia.

The MAS is the only political party that guarantees, among other issues, avoiding the privatization of natural resources, Arce pointed out on Twitter.

'We trust the wisdom of the people,' said the former Minister of Economy during most of the Morales administration (2006-2019).

Arce and his running mate, former Foreign Minister David Choquehuanca (2006-2017), lead the voting intention ahead of the elections on October 18 with 26.2 percent, according to a recent poll by the consulting CIESMORI company.

The public opinion study ranked former president Carlos Mesa (2003-2005) and Jeanine Añez - at the head of the current de facto government - behind, with 17 and 10 percentage points, respectively.

Arce would win, according to the Gallup poll, in the departments of La Paz, Oruro, Potosi, Tarija, Pando, Cochabamba, and he would lose votes in Santa Cruz, an opposition stronghold to the MAS.
