Havana, Nov 20 (Prensa Latina) 80.4 percent of the population in Cuba (eight million 991,195) completed the anti-Covid-19 vaccination plan, the Ministry of Public Health (Minsap) reported today.

By the end of November 18, 10 million 118,526 people had received at least one dose of Soberana 02 or Soberana Plus, from the Finlay Vaccine Institute, or Abdala, developed by the Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology, and nine million 155,120 a second injection.

With three units administered, the figure reaches 8,520,386 individuals.

To date, 27 million 794 thousand 32 doses have been administered, Minsap said.

Cuba continues to lead immunization in the region with 89 percent of its population protected against the disease, followed by Chile (87 percent), Uruguay (80) and Brazil (76), according to the Our World in Data website at the close of November 19.
