Havana, Apr 29 (Prensa Latina) Art Maestro Eduardo Arrocha on Friday won Cuba's 2022 Dance Award, with which he adds three national awards, as he holds the 2007 Theater Award and the 2013 Design Award.

On the occasion the International Dance Day, Cuba announced the recognition that honors the career of a man dedicated to artistic creation and with a blessed skill to staging a play.

Arrocha has a experience of more than half a century in plastic arts, focusing on the design of shows for dramatic works, cinema, cabaret and dance, in this particular his work with choreographer Ramiro Guerra stands out.

In his training, he took courses at the National Opera Theater in Prague (1966) and the Bratislava Opera and Ballet (1971), which consolidated his career in the Cuban stage, notably in works for the National Modern Dance Ensemble, where he served as chief designer and technical director.

He has more than 80 works for about 70 choreographers of modern or contemporary dance, so according to specialized critics, his name is an indissoluble part of the performing arts in Cuba.
