Brasilia, Jan 27 (Prensa Latina) The former president of Brazil and favorite for the 2022 elections, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, urged his countrymen to once again make a country for all, not for a few.

On his Twitter profile, Lula expressed that this world needs truth, love, peace and tranquility, and not the madness that exists, and added that it is with that Brazil in mind that he intends to debate. The candidate for the presidency for the Workers’ Party (PT) stated in a tweet that he is not going to get into the quagmire in which some opponents want to transform the debate.

What I want to know -Lula demanded- is who will solve the problem of employment, the economy, the country’s credibility in the world, the delay in children’s schooling due to the pandemic; that’s what I’m going to discuss, he meant.

Also interviewed by the CBN radio station of Vale do Paraíba, the former president stressed that Brazil needs a less combative policy.

He affirmed that the government’s relationship with Congress must be one of dialogue and reiterated his criticism of the current president, Jair Bolsonaro, whom he pointed out “responsible for more than half of the people who died from Covid-19 in the country” .

According to recent polls, the PT candidate is in a position to win in the first round of the presidential elections scheduled for next October, with a 20-point advantage over re-election candidate Bolsonaro, who is seeking a second term after joining the Party. Liberal (LP).
