Brasilia, Oct 28 (Prensa Latina) Former Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva on Thursday described President Jair Bolsonaro as genocidal, when the final report of the parliamentary commission (CPI) that investigated the government's management of Covid-19 was released.

He considered that, for the former military officer, 'the black bags carrying corpses mean nothing. That is the truth,' referring to the more than 606,000 deaths caused by the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus in Brazil and the irresponsible management of the federal administration to face the pandemic.

On Tuesday, the CPI approved, by seven votes to four, the final text of its six-month inquiry into the government's performance in dealing with the virus.

The board of 11 senators found serious anomalies that led it to issue nine charges against Bolsonaro, including a crime against humanity.

In another tweet, Lula called for 'no more of this bad mood in Brazilian society. In this climate of hatred. Tomorrow will be better.

He said that he turned 76 years old on Wednesday with great pride. 'I do not feel the weight of age, I feel like a young man with a lot of energy and desire to walk Brazil.'

Lula is the favorite candidate in all opinion polls for the 2022 election.

The former president strengthened his voting intentions after a Supreme Court judge annulled all his sentences in March and made it possible for him to run for next year's election.
