Marta Dominguez, deputy director of employment at the Labor and Social Security Directorate in Ciego de Avila, told Prensa Latina that over 50 percent of that total were placed in the productive sector and the rest in budgeted units.

The peak of the labor force in the territory shows the interest of the unemployed population, now stimulated by the new general wage reform with significant raise wages in the economy and services sectors.

Dominguez set out that the main job offers include agriculture, construction, with its different trades, maintenance workers, communal workers, office cleaners and custodians in educational institutions.
