Tel Aviv, Feb 27 (Prensa Latina) Israeli politicians condemned the violence and destruction caused by Jewish settlers during an assault on the Palestinian town of Huwara, in the occupied West Bank.

The Palestinian Red Crescent reported more than a hundred injured in the attacks by the Jews, who burned numerous homes and cars.

The extremists stormed the town shortly after the death of two Jews at the hands of a Palestinian.

“The terrorists who roamed Huwara, burning and destroying everything in their path, are sipping their legitimacy from the high positions of this government,” denounced the president of the Labor Party, Merav Michaeli, on Twitter.

Speaking in a similar manner, legislator Aida Touma-Sliman said: “The settlers acted in the spirit of the fascist government, so then, I have spoken to various ambassadors on the matter and asked them to intervene.”

“This is what a pogrom looks like,” former MP Mossi Raz wrote on Twitter and posting a photo of numerous burned vehicles from the village.

“This ethnic prosecution in Huwara will only lead to more bloodshed,” warned lawmaker Ayman Odeh, head of the left-wing Hadash party.
