International leaders will attend the inauguration in Honduras

Honduras, Jan 12 (Prensa Latina) Honduras has confirmed so far the presence of at least 15 international leaders among presidents, vice presidents and foreign ministers of countries such as the United States, El Salvador, Panama, Mexico and Venezuela at the inauguration of Xiomara Castro.

The Presidential Command Transfer Commission is holding daily meetings with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the National Police, the Armed Forces, the Fire Department and other agencies, to provide assistance and security.

According to the members of the team designated by President-elect Xiomara Castro, of the Partido Libertad y Refundación, the law enforcement will deploy forces to safeguard the participants in the inauguration ceremony this January 27th in the National Stadium.

As for international representatives, the commission confirmed Kamala Harris, vice president of the United States; Nayib Bukele, President of El Salvador; Laurentino Cortizo, president of Panama; Marcelo Ebrard, Foreign Minister of Mexico and Johny Briceño, Prime Minister of Belize.

The list also includes Evelyn Wever-Croes, Prime Minister of Aruba; Takashi Uto, secretary of the Parliamentary League of Japan; Félix Plasencia and Rander Peña, Foreign Minister and Deputy Foreign Minister of Venezuela, respectively, and Gabriel Boric, President-elect of Chile.

Other figures summoned are the former president of the Dominican Republic Leonel Fernández; ex-governor of Spain Jorge Luis Rodríguez Zapatero; Vice President of Argentina, Cristina Fernández; former president of Bolivia Evo Morales, and former president of Paraguay Fernando Lugo.
