Havana, Jun 27 (Prensa Latina) Cuban Deputy Foreign Minister Anayansi Rodriguez and her Indian counterpart Saurabh Kumar described as fruitful the Bilateral Political Consultations held on Monday in Havana.

According to a statement published by the Cuban Foreign Ministry, during the meeting both parties ratified their willingness to strengthen bilateral collaboration in various areas such as health, biotechnology, renewable energy sources, agriculture, telecommunications, sports and education.

They also discussed issues of common interest on the national and international agenda, the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic in both countries and the subsequent economic recovery.

The Cuban deputy minister appreciated India’s condemnation of the blockade imposed by the United States on Cuba.

“The Political Consultations took place in a fraternal atmosphere in line with the long-standing historical and friendly relations between Cuba and India,” the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported.
