German Solidarity Brigade Visits Santiago de Cuba City

Santiago de Cuba, May 9 (ACN) Germany’s Cuba Si Leftist Organization with the Die Linke party is visiting the eastern Cuban city of Santiago de Cuba.

Cuban Friendship Institute delegate in Santiago Juan Carlos Vaillant welcomed the visitors at the local Revolution Square and thanked the activists for their support of the island nation in such a complex moment for the world and amidst the US siege in times of pandemic.

Cuba Si organization coordinator Miriam Nather blasted the position assumed by US President Joe Biden to exclude Cuba from the Summit of the Americas in a further action to break Latin American unity.

Cuba Si organization shipped medical supplies to Cuba during the pandemic and keeps projects to assist ranching development on the island, said activist Gerhard Mertschenk, who also expressed his gratitude for the revolution and condemned the US’s hostile Cuba policy.

The activists will tour historic places in Santiago de Cuba as part of their agenda here.
