French artist Ismaël Billy will debut in Cuba today with a grand concert at the Minor Basilica of the Convent of San Francisco de Asís and a masterclass at the National Museum of Music in this capital.

Under the artistic direction of Helson Hernández, the tenor's presentation will take place as part of the preparatory stage of the 41st Jazz Plaza Festival and will feature the presence of soprano Isabel Torres, baritone Carlos Manuel González, and pianist Vilma Garriga.

The event will begin at 6:00 PM local time at the Minor Basilica of the Convent of San Francisco de Asís, located in the historic center of the capital.

The special presentation will include a Russian romance, arias from French and Italian operas, and works by significant composers of French chanson, national media highlighted.

Furthermore, students and young singers will engage with the renowned artist at the National Museum of Music next Monday, January 19th, where he will conduct a masterclass in the morning.

The program is supported by the National Center for Concert Music, the Cuban Ministry of Culture, the Office of the City Historian, CMBF Cuba's Classical Radio Station, and the Cuban Institute of Music.

Ismaël Billy, renowned for his vocal power and interpretative sensitivity, has performed Italian and French repertoires, including works such as ToscaTraviataTurandotFaust, and Werther, sharing the stage with major international figures like Philippe Jaroussky and Benjamin Bernheim.
