Foreign minister congratulates fathers living in Cuba and abroad

Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez on Sunday wished a happy Fathers' Day to all Cuban citizens living in the country and abroad.

On his Twitter account, the head of Cuban diplomacy congratulated the fathers in the Foreign Ministry 'for their constant commitment to their family and revolutionary diplomacy.'

Every third Sunday of June, Cuba celebrates Fathers' Day, as a way to reciprocate their affection and dedication.

Fathers' Day was first celebrated in Cuba on June 19, 1938, at the initiative of writer and artist Dulce Maria Borrero, who advocated for generalizing the homage to fathers.
