Followers of Japanese culture in this city of Cuba had the opportunity to theorize and enjoy the literature of the Asian country, through the Hanami event.

The collaboration of the Embassy of Japan also makes possible every year this meeting dedicated to the art of literature in Japan, which this time has the presence of the renowned writer Keiichiro Hirano, invited by the National Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba (Uneac). Hanami, which indicates the blooming of nature, arrives precisely in springtime in this region and attracts lovers of Japan’s culture who witnessed the presentation of the book Cierto Hombre, by Keichiro.

This is the first text translated into Spanish, the laureate artist with awards such as the Yomiuri, also scheduled the presentation of the film of the homonymous book in the cinemas of the city.

The constant search for inner individuality and the conflicts of the human being is always present in the author’s work.

Hirano is in Cuba at the invitation of Uneac and the Embassy of Japan, in the framework of the 11th edition of the Day for Japanese Culture in Camagüey (Hanami), which takes place between April 26 and 30.

In this city, today’s program culminated with the panel Influence of Japanese culture in today’s Cuban society, which included specialists, writers and journalists from both nations.
