The eighth edition of the International Salsa Festival, which begins on the stage of Club 500 in this capital, sets the rhythm of the dancer lover of the genre.

In exclusive statements to Prensa Latina, the creator and honorary president of the festival, Maykel Blanco, highlighted that four orchestras will perform each day, under the artistic direction of actress and presenter Edith Massola.

As a novelty in this edition, La Original de Manzanillo will perform, as a tribute to the 60th anniversary of the founding of this emblematic orchestra, the musician added.

The event will be prestigious with the presence of notable groups that defend popular dance music in the country, such as Maykel Blanco y su Salsa Mayor, Los Van Van, Manolito Simonet y su Trabuco, Adalberto Álvarez y su Son, Alexander Abreu and Havana D’ Primera, among other performers.

Blanco also highlighted the participation of Puerto Rican singer Giro, accompanied by the group 8 y Más, as well as outstanding national and international DJs.

Another novelty to be highlighted is the linking of the festival with artistic education, through master classes and workshops, an opportunity that will enhance the feedback of knowledge between students and participating musicians.
