Cuba's record festival to be held virtually
In a virtual press conference, Fajardo explained that the most important festival of the country's recording industry will be held in parallel on social networks and Cuban television channels, with 14 hours of daily transmission.
This is possible thanks to the alliances among the ICM, Cuba's Ministry of Culture and the Cuban Institute of Radio and Television, institutions that worked in conjunction to offer a varied program of concerts, symposiums, documentary screenings and awards.
Jorge Gomez, the event's president, highlighted the creativity that has characterized the phonographic and audiovisual production in recent months, which translated into the good workmanship and creativity of the pieces presented.
The festival, which celebrates the Ibero-American Year of Music, presents a new strategy in the selection of the nominees, with the purpose of guaranteeing the democracy of the process and counting on the opinion of experts from all over the country, music director Rene Baños noted.
