The Cuba section of the Antifascist International and the Network in Defense of Humanity expressed their strong rejection of the coup agenda promoted from Washington against the government of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro, who will assume the presidency for the 2025-2031 term this Friday.

In a statement, both organizations said regarding the upcoming presidential inauguration for the new administration on January 10, that Edmundo González, a lackey of imperialism, has begun a "pilgrimage" through Our America, being welcomed by various right-wing leaders.

"It is shameful to observe how the Guaidó 2.0 agenda is being reissued, which caused so much suffering to the Venezuelan people and was heroically defeated by them, at the expense of great sacrifices and the appropriation of a significant portion of the national heritage," they indicated.

The adversaries of the Great Homeland, the old Western imperialisms, seek to bury with this "false tour" what should be a day of joy for the South American nation and the continent, and to promote plans of sanctions and violent destabilization whose declared purpose is to regain control of the wealth and resources of that great land of grace known as Venezuela, they mentioned.

"We address the communities and all revolutionary and progressive forces to protect the Bolivarian Revolution, its achievements, and its people in a tight-knit block." At this moment, more than ever, we must move, as Martí requested, 'in a compact formation, like silver in the Andean roots,'" they stated in their declaration.

"The cause of Venezuela is that of each and every one of us who aspire to a more equitable and better world," they concluded.
